Real World

A common thread running through the Futurevisions Project is that the images depict physical things that are sometimes fantastic, but more often factual. The “future” in many ways is already here. Again, the Project is ultimately about non-visual changes such as human developments in better thinking choices or evolved attitudes, but here are some image examples of real world designs ranging from architecture to robotics. It just goes to show how many ideas that were once thought of as nothing more than the imaginings related to science-fiction have simply become a current reality.

Our technological development has grown immensely over the past two decades alone, but the real change and ultimate answer to our challenges for a bright future is in actuality within each one of us. What kind of personal influence do you offer to those around you? What is it that you do in your life, and how can you gear your activities toward improving even the smallest fraction of the world you live in? It is in these small but cumulative changes that we can lay the groundwork for positive future changes. In the realm of technology there is virtually nothing we cannot do. The real challenge is to see if we as a global people can mature and grow as much as our technology has.
