Tubes that shoot you across the street. So people can cross the street. It uses suction. Cars that fly.

To me, I would make it mandatory for every child from the ages of four or five until the age of eighteen to play an instrument. Everyone would get an instrument. Especially a piano. I’m not partial or anything. LOL And then people wouldn’t want to play with guns because they would see the beauty in music and the joy it brings to others and themselves. On an insane planet like this for me the things that really work are music and art, good spiritual values, caring, creating and sharing. It’s kindergarten understanding and yet that’s all I find that really works. I guess it’s OK for others to try other approaches, but sooner or later I think we all will rediscover love and the true meaning of God and our divine connection to God. I hope and pray for that. Meanwhile I must go back and play my piano otherwise I’d be just talking words!!

SS:

All efforts should be directed toward sustainability. Once sustainability is achieved, we can focus on other programs. A sustainable society meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. As such, we need an economy that accounts for the cost of environmental impacts. Such programs are currently being developed in California with the implementation of Assembly Bill 32, designed to reduce global warming gas emissions. This is a big step forward, but such programs need to be applied appropriately and to all manufacturing and long-term processes to achieve sustainability. Many nay-sayers, who are also strangely enough associated with present corporate interests, would lead us to believe that the required changes would destroy our economy and throw us into a downward spiral of economic recession and/or depression. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. We are already in a state of decay and such apocalyptic claims are made only to frighten us from preventing continued corporate profit at societal cost. The focus on efficiency should inspire a host of improvements to existing technologies and new technologies that would result in further economic growth.

SG:

Transporter, but it might take more than 10 billion. Is Microsoft funding this, because I know they have more net income than that :)..There are a few I would consider.
Neural electronic feed back devices. Like implants that allow you to interface with devices wirelessly with your thoughts.
A device that could read the energy wave from anything and produce a canceling wave (of a sort) instantly. It could also modulate instantly with that other wave to cancel it better. This is kind of a simplistic explanation. Even more simplistically, it could render guns, bombs and explosions benign. Imagine the impact this could have. It could be used to dominate others or to eliminate threats.

AU:

I would invest the money in technologies that promise “green living” and fuel sources, help for impoverished peoples and tolerance programs for public schools.
